fter winning a design competition, Bell Associates were appointed as architects and project managers to convert a disused Ministry of Defence WW2 generating station into a unique residential property.

The locally listed building was located within the green belt and perched in an isolated position, while being blessed with stunning views across the Essex countryside. Despite being confined by planning restrictions and the unusual sense of scale of the building, we were able to create a stunning three-storey home maximising the space available. The use of various glazed elements enabled the property to fully benefit from the surrounding views.
